Specifics of flange connections

Flanged joints are one of the most popular joints used in industrial hydraulics, power hydraulics, heat pump installations or domestic hydraulics. The quality of the components used has a very strong influence on the design, so it is essential to know how to choose the right connections and to be precise with the work to be done.  

The advantages of a flange connection: 

• structure stiffness, 
• high tightness of the connection, 
• possibility to disconnect again. 

In order to be properly prepared for the job, it is also important to be aware of the dangers that can accompany the work of a fitter. Flange joints may seem trivial on the surface, but there is often even a risk of fire. This is why it is so important to have the right knowledge and qualifications. You are cordially invited to attend a certified course in flange connection assembly and supervision, conducted in accordance with PE-EN 1591-4 standards, which will provide you with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for your profession.  

What will you get out of the course?

In our training we will teach you, among other things: 

• knowledge of the types of flange connections and the practicality and types of gaskets, 
• safe disassembly and assembly of joints (health and safety rules), 
• recognising failures and defects in gasketed flange connections, 
• adequate preparation of the surface to be sealed, 
• hermetic requirements, 
• tools used in assembly, including hydraulic and torque spanners, 
• general principles of health and safety, 
• residual and applied loads on the joint, 
• loss of load on the connection and its consequences, 
• deformation, bolt load and gasket stress, 
• exercises under the supervision of an experienced instructor. 

Benefits you will gain from the training  

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate in Polish and English, valid for 5 years, issued by TÜV SÜD, authorising you to install flange connections valid throughout the country and in other European countries.  

Who is the training for?  

The course is aimed at any adult with a minimum of primary education who wants to gain experience or has already had experience with flange connections.
