Course on mobile platforms - operation and maintenanceThis training makes it possible to become qualified to operate or maintain, among other things: aerial work platforms, scissor lifts and other mobile platforms. Improving your qualifications in this area significantly increases your chances on the labour market. Having a certificate for mobile platforms makes it easier to find work in building maintenance companies, energy companies, construction companies or transport companies. With this qualification, you can also provide aerial work platform (boom lift) rental services yourself. On the other hand, completing a maintenance course allows you to work as a service technician for mobile platforms. The course prepares you for the exam UDTThe TDT is carried out by the Office of Technical Inspection, as well as by the Transport Technical Inspection.Platform course - why is it worth it?Benefits of being authorized to operate and maintain this type of equipment:Higher qualifications are a chance for a better job. Employees with specialist qualifications are much more often sought by employers and can count on a much higher salary.Wide scope - the rights for mobile platforms apply not only to the most popular devices, i.e. self-propelled platforms, but also to many other types of lifts. For employers: a greater number of qualified employees is a guarantee of timely execution of orders for clients. It also allows participation in tenders organized by local governments and other units, where it is often required to have employees with appropriate qualifications.Opportunity to start your own business: rental of aerial work platforms and carrying out work with this type of equipment is a service often sought by customers.Completing the course in the maintenance of booms and passing the UDT and TDT exam entitles you to perform periodic inspections, servicing the equipment, and assessing its technical condition. These are the skills desired on the labor market that allow you to find employment practically "immediately" or to provide services on your own.Who is the course for?UDT qualifications for mobile, stationary or suspended platforms are required for operators, installers, fitters, employees of construction companies or people dealing with large-format advertising. What requirements must candidates meet?18 years or olderEducation at least elementaryMedical certificateTypes of service authorizationsCompleting the training allows you to obtain the following qualifications granted by the Office of Technical Inspection:The scope of the rights issued (valid from June 1, 2019) and their validity dates:Mobile access platforms: 5 yearsStationary mobile platforms, hanging mobile platforms (entitles you to operate suspended and stationary mobile platforms): 10 yearsMast climbing work platforms (entitles to operate mast and stationary mobile platforms): 10 yearsPlatforms on railway vehicles: 10 yearsThe scope of the issued rights until June 1, 2019 - valid for 5 years from the date of entry into force of the new regulations (the Act on technical supervision):IP category permissions, includes mobile platforms:passable low-speed, the so-called scissor liftstransportable, so-called spiders attached to the carself-propelled, vehicle-mounted - aerial platforms (lifts)Category II P permissions, includes mobile platforms:hangingmastheadstationaryTypes of authorization for maintenanceThe division according to the new rules and agreed training programs, effective from June 1, 2019.Stationary, hanging and mast mobile platforms: 5 yearsMobile and loading mobile access platforms, including for passenger transport: 5 yearsMobile platforms on railway vehicles: 5 yearsWhat issues are covered in the course in terms of service?General newsStability of platformsStrength of platformsSafety devicesChassis and supporting structuresDriving mechanisms of the supporting structure of the working platformWork platformPlatform operating instructionsResearch and tests of mobile platformsPrinciples of operation of mobile platformsTechnical inspectionPracticalWhat topics are covered in the maintenance course?Issues in the theoretical part:Types of close-range transport devices that are subject to technical inspectionThe procedure to be followed when taking technical devices under supervisionTypes of technical tests carried out by technical inspection inspectors along with the scope of activities performed during these testsProcedure for the operator and maintenance technician in the event of a dangerous damage or an accident related to the operation of a technical deviceHealth and safety in the maintenance of equipmentAssemblies and elements of maintenance of mobile platforms - mechanical partAssemblies and elements of maintenance of movable platforms - electrical partPractical issues:Verification of the technical condition of the deviceCriteria used to check the degree of wear and correct operation of mechanismsReplacement of worn or damaged componentsMaintenance of individual units, components, safety devices, etc.Procedure in emergency states of the deviceWays to check the correct operation of elements and safety devices, as well as their adjustmentActivities performed when changing the assembly version of devicesActivities and obligations resulting from the change of the place of use of the device, which requires disassembly and reassemblyThe most common operational defects - examples and methods of their removalForms of education: online and stationaryWe conduct trainings for operators and maintenance technicians at the client's premises - throughout Poland, in SPA branches in most large cities with UDT branches: Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, and also in Silesia (Bielsko-Biała, Gliwice). If a larger number of people from a given city or region express interest in obtaining qualifications, instructors can go anywhere in Poland. To make it easier for candidates for platform operators to gain qualifications, online courses have been launched. It is a convenient way to prepare for the UDT exam without having to travel to the place of training. What does the online course look like?Participants receive a login and password with which they log in to the course platform. The lecturer transmits knowledge live, using various forms of knowledge transfer: lecture, asking questions to participants, discussion, quizzes. Finally, the participants' knowledge is verified with a test.In the case of the course for the operator of mobile platforms, it is required to supplement with stationary classes.UDT exam and trainingThe center deals not only with teaching and transferring knowledge to students, but also with the organization of the UDT exam for mobile platforms. The price of the training includes the costs of organizing the exam: access to didactic and technical facilities and equipment, as well as full representation in the coordination of the process of checking qualifications by the Office. Thanks to such support, participants can be examined faster than if they applied to the UDT themselves. This translates into a high pass rate of exams - students are up to date with knowledge and do not have to remember it again. The exam can be organized in two ways:Training in operation or maintenance may be scheduled in such a time as to correspond to the first possible date set by the Office of Technical Inspection. The waiting time is usually around 30 days. The training may be planned so that the examination will be held immediately after the training, on the next working day. This requires much earlier planning - usually more than 30 days in advance. It may also be associated with higher costs (for details please contact us).It should be remembered that the date of the exams is decided by the Office of Technical Inspection. Permissions may be granted in an accelerated manner, however, it must be determined individually by the Center, which contacts the Office in this matter. The center is not responsible for the results of the exams or for the participant's absence within the prescribed period.Common questions What do we provide in the course price? The additional obligation of training results directly from the Labor Code and general and specific health and safety regulations. The regulations impose an obligation to train employees in the field of work safety when using technical devices. It also results from the necessity to follow the operating instructions for mobile platforms. Sometimes, device manufacturers require that each person be trained so that they take control of the device from the operator in the event of an accident. In addition, the regulations impose an obligation to train in working at height and evacuation of people who may be trapped as a result of failure of the device and the emergency lowering system. How is the operation and maintenance exam done? The exam for the operator takes the form of a written test and practical tasks extended by, inter alia, questions regarding the assessment of the technical condition of the device. Are the qualifications recognized internationally? If the participants have such a need, the Center may issue a certificate or certificate of completion of the course in English. Such certificates can be accepted as proof of qualifications in countries that do not have a system of regulating the profession. The center applies appropriate standards in this regard, including ISO 18878 as well as ISO 17024 and ISO 29990. The certificate does not, however, replace UDT licenses in Poland.
