What the flange fitter should watch out for when working When working, the flange joint fitter should be aware of the following risks: danger of explosion and fire, the threat of water, air and land pollution, possible economic losses due to downtime during failures. This is what we will teach you During the training we will teach you: theoretical knowledge of flange joint types, functions and gasket types, principles for the safe assembly and disassembly of flanged joints, practical skills in seal selection, practical skills in making and supervising flanged joints. Requirements from the candidate A candidate wishing to attend the course must have: at least 18 years of age, at least a basic education, no medical contraindications to the occupation (we refer the candidate to an occupational physician for examination before taking the course). On completion of the training On completion of the training course the trainee will receive: certificate of completion of training, after passing the practical and theoretical exam, a TÜV flange fitter certificate. The TÜV certificate authorises the installation of flanged connections throughout the European Union, in addition to which the certificate of the independent certification body is respected worldwide as an objective proof of competence. Purpose of the training The aim of the course is for the trainee to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of the correct installation and safe operation of pressure equipment in various areas of industry. During the course, special attention is paid to safety, work efficiency and installation accuracy.
